The present experiment has been conducted as a split plot factorial based on completely randomized block design with three replications in 2018-2019 crop season on a saline farm (with an electrical conductivity of 5.2 dS/m) in Dastgerd area, Isfahan Province. Four levels of irrigation (25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% of FC) compose the main factors and biofertilizer (the control, Nitroxin, Biophosphorus, and their combination) as well as chemical fertilizer in two level of no application and integrated application of nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers are the sub-factor. Severe drought stress (25% FC irrigation treatment) increase the measured traits (antioxidant enzyme activity including catalase, peroxidase, and superoxide dismutase along with Proline and Malondialdehyde content) in quinoa by about 46%, 52%, 142%, 42%, and 39%, compared to non-stress conditions (100% FC irrigation treatment), respectively. Also, they significantly reduce grain and biological yield in this plant (by about 76% and 49%, respectively). However, at all drought stress levels , the combination of nitroxin and biophosphorus under conditions of simultaneous use of chemical fertilizers of nitrogen and phosphorus shows the maximum effect on moderation of drought stress effects, significantly reducing the activity of antioxidant enzymes and, consequently, increasing yield, compared to other treatments at the same drought level. Overall, the results demonstrate that despite the salinity of the tested soil, quinoa has been able to complete its growth and seed production even under severe drought stress conditions.

In order to evaluate the effect of water deficit stress on seed yield and yield components of safflower genotypes (Carthamus tinctorius L.), an experiment was conducted as a split plot with three replicates at the research filed of University of Shahrekord in spring 2016. Treatments consisted of three levels of irrigation based on 100%, 75% and 50% of the plant’s water requirement and three selected safflower genotypes including Sina, Isfahan and Faraman. Results indicated that deficit irrigation caused a significant reduction in all traits including the number of lateral branches per plant, plant height, head number per plant, number of seed per head, seed thousand weight, seed yield, oil percentage, oil yield, biological yield and harvest index. The lowest values of seed yield (1196 kg.ha-1) and oil yield (313 kg.ha-1) were obtained in the deficit irrigation treatment of 50 %plant water requirement and the highest seed yield (2310 kg.ha-1) and oil yield (561kg.ha-1) were obtained in 100% plant water requirement. The results showed that there was a significant difference among investigated safflower genotypes, and the highest seed yield (1998kg.ha-1) and oil yield (561kg.ha-1) were obtained in Sina genotype and the lowest seed yield (1659kg.ha-1) and oil yield (426 kg.ha-1) were obtained in local Isfahan genotype. The results showed that the differences among genotypes in terms of morphological traits, oil percentage, and oil yield were important components that could be used to select genotypes or appropriate cultivars with drought conditions.

In order to investigate the effect of different irrigation regimes on yield and leaf proline content of a spring Isfahan local variety of safflower, a field experiment was conducted as split plot in Randomized Complete Block Design with three replications at the Research Station of Shahrekord University in 2013-2014. The main factor consisted of four different irrigation regimes (irrigation after 50, 80, 130 and 180 mm evaporation of water from evaporation pan class A) and subplots were spraying humic acid (at a rate of zero, one, three and six liters per hectare). Evaluated traits in this experiment included, the number of heads per plant, 1000 seeds weight, oil content, grain yield, oil yield and leaf proline content. Irrigation treatments and foliar application of humic acid significantly contributed to the above characteristics. Based on means comparisons, less irrigation caused a significant decrease and spraying humic acid also increased significantly number of heads per plant, 1000 seeds weight, grain yield and oil yield. Also, with increased Irrigation and increase application of humic acid, oil content and proline compared to the control group showed a significant increase. In addition, increased irrigation, increase seed oil content from 22.22 percent to 25.43 percent (in irrigation treatment after 180 mm evaporation and application of six lit/ha) has been upgraded. Oil yield also decreased as a result of irrigation after 50 mm evaporation from 394 to 289 kg per hectare after 180 mm evaporation.

In order to evaluate the effect of different mechanical treatments (application of sulphuric acid, boiling water and flooding) on seed dormancy breaking of Licorice, an experiment was carried out in randomized complete block design in 2012. Moreover, a factorial scheme in RCBD was performed to assess the application of giberalic acid and potassium nitrate treatment as well as stratification and rotational temperature/light treatment. Treatments included different levels of giberalic acid (0, 100, 250 and 500 mg) at two time levels of 2 and 24 hour (along with scarification pre-treatment), concentrations of potassium nitrate (0, 50, 100 and 150 mM) in 10 and 30 minutes (along with scarification pre-treatment), stratification temperatures treatment of -5, 0 and 5 °C for one, two and three weeks of treatment, treatment of rotational temperature (5-15 and 10-20 °C), in full light, dark and rotational light periods (8 h light and 16 h dark) and mechanical treatments of dormancy breaking. Treatment duration of two minutes in boiling water and two days water-logging treatment were the most effective treatments on germination percentage of Licorice (81.33% and 53.33% increase in germination percentage compared to control, respectively). Application of giberalic acid and potassium nitrate treatments and stratification had no effect on Licorice dormancy. According to the Licorice seed dormancy breaking in mechanical treatments and the effect of rotational temperature and light, it can be concluded that the dormancy of Licorice seeds is intermittent.

Effect of nano titanium oxide, nano zinc and multiwall carbon nano tube on yield and yield components of green gram was carried out in Kohkiloyeh-Boyrahmad province, Iran with 30 degrees 45' N and 50 degrees 44' in 2013 growing seasons. The experiment was arranged as factorial in a completely randomize block design with three replications, treatments including: four concentrations (zero, 50, 100 and 200 mg/l) of above nano particles, were spraying on green gram plants at 4-2 leaf, 8-6 leaf stages and pod stage. The results showed all of nano particle treatments had significant effect on some yield components of green gram plants. Concentrations of multiple carbon nano tube at 50, 100 and 200 mg/l had significant effect on number of pod/plant, seed thousand weight and biological yield, also nano titanium oxide at 50 mg/l had positive effect on grain yield. The harvest index, the number of grain/pod and seed protein percent was higher under 50 and 200 mg/l of nano zinc treatments. In conclusion, the spraying of 50 mg/l of above nano particles had the highest effect on yield and its components of green gram.

In order to evaluate the yield components and oil percent of hemp plant under different biological fertilizer and saline water and soil, a field experiment was conducted as a factorial experiment in a randomized complete design with three replications in the North East of Esfahan in 2012. The experimental treatments include, three hemp ecotypes of Esfahan, Shiraz and Mashاad as the first factor and fertilizer treatments of urea, nitroxin, super nitro-plus, bio-sulfur, mycorrhizae (Glomus mosseae) and control (without fertilizer) as the second factor, subjected to saline soil irrigation water. The traits of seed numbers per plant, 1000 seeds weight, grain yield, biological yield, harvest index and percent of seed oil were measured. The results showed the maximum grain yield and harvest index were belong to mycorrhizae treatment and the minimum was belong to control. Besides, mycorrhizae showed maximum biological yield and other treatments had not significantly effect. 1000 seeds weight was affected significantly under different fertilizer treatments, but the ecotypes of Mashhad and Shiraz showed maximum (13.33 gr.) and ecotype of Esfahan produced minimum (7.8 gr.) 1000 seeds grain. Each 4 fertilizer treatments caused significant promotion of oil percent (29.2%) compare to control (26.5%), but did not observed any significant effect between fertilizer treatments. Ecotype of Esfahan under bio-sulfur and mycorrhizae treatments with average of 800 seeds per plant had maximum and ecotypes of Mashhad and Shiraz had minimum of 76 seeds per plant.

In order to evaluate the variation of some of quantitative and qualitative traits of different varieties of linseed under different plant densities, an experiment was conducted in the research station of the Faculty of Agriculture in Shahrekord Univerity in 2009. This experiment was arranged as factorial in RCBD design with three replications. Four linseeds originated from Australia, Canada, France and Iran varieties were used as the first factor, and three plant densities of 300, 500, and 1000 plants per m2 were used as the second factor. Based on the results of this experiment, except for traits of seed number per capsule, 1000 seeds weight days to maturity and protein percent, other traits such as plant height, grain yield and oil content significantly responded to the plant density. The highest plant height and maximum grain yield at 1000 plants per m2 and the greatest amount of oil content at density of 500 plants per m2 were produced. All measured traits had significant effect in different linseed varieties. The highest plant height in Canadian linseed, he maximum grain yield, and days to maturity in Iranian linseed, the greatest amount of protein in France linseed and the maximum oil content in Canadian linseed were observed. Except for the trait of seed number per capsule, 1000 seeds weight, days to maturity, others including plant height, grain yield, percent of protein and oil content were significantly different in the interaction between density and variety. Canadian and Iranian linseed at density of 1000 plants per m2 produced maximum plant height, Iranian linseed at density of 1000 plants per m2 produced maximum grain yield and, France linseed at density of 1000 plants per m2 produced the greatest protein percent, and Canadian linseed at density of 300 plants per m2 also produced maximum oil percent. The general result in this experiment showed that, the density of 1000 plants per m2 was the best plant density and the Iranian linseed, due to great oil content and grain yield, was the most important linseed among other varieties.
